Our Grade 7 girls are very involved in all aspects of school life. In addition to the normal academic curriculum, they have many responsibilities ranging from assisting in the school Clothing Shop, being part of our Tech Crew, acting as monitresses for Foundation Phase classes, Librarians, Tuck Shop assistants, Front Office duties and many, many more. An extensive orientation session is held for our Grade 7 girls at the beginning of each year, during which they are made aware of all the opportunities available to them as well as their responsibilities as leaders and role models. http://www.wynberggirlsprimary.co.za/site/gallery/grade-7-orientation

Our focus is on preparation for high school, in particular, encouraging the girls to work more independently, focus on their time management and on study and research skills. Our Grade 7 camp which is always held early in the first term, focuses on team building and leadership and enables the girls and their teachers to get to know one another really well in an informal setting. This year we went to Simonsberg just outside

Stellenbosch. The weather was really hot but even the impressive thunderstorm on the second afternoon did nothing to dampen the girls' enthusiasm. Please have a look at some the photo's in our gallery. (http://www.wynberggirlsprimary.co.za/site/gallery/grade-7-camp )
A new opportunity for our Grade 7's this year is our Media Group. This group of girls meets weekly and will be trained in the art of interviewing and photography to ensure that our website is kept up-to-date and 'learner friendly". These young journalists are very excited about their responsibilities!
During the last term each year, the Grade 7's hold a mini fete. The money raised at this event is used to provide part scholarships to deserving Grade 6 learners and emphasises the importance of giving back.
