Hockey

W.G.J.S. offers an extensive hockey programme. The girls start at U9 level where they are taught basic skills. Matches are played every week, with the Under 9's only starting in the third term.  Practices are held every Tuesday afternoon and matches are played on Thursdays. Our U12 and U13 teams play full field and part-field.

Whenever possible, our teams are entered in tournaments which are held on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings. These tournaments serve to provide our girls with greater exposure to the sport.  The end of the hockey season is marked by Inter-schools tournaments for U10, U11, U13 A & B.

NEWS FLASH!!!!!!

Our stunning, brand new Hockey and Netball uniform will be available from the school clothing shop at the beginning of next term.  The cost will be R135.00 for the top and R135.00 for the skorts.
